Search Engine placement is the most important component to a successful veterinary website.  Your placement on the search engines is determined by your website's HTML (hyper text markup language) that describes each individual page of your website.  You can't see this code on your website, however HTML code is the foundation upon which your website is built.  This code also includes "keywords" which are the words people will enter on a search engine when looking for a veterinarian in their area.  These keywords must be specific enough to jump your practice ahead of literally thousands of other entries who offer exactly the same services you do.  Keywords and descriptions are contained in "meta tags" which are a sort of secret code that communicates with various search engines.
